UEFA Champions League Live Scores: League Phase Table, Play-Offs & Knockout Rules (No Away Goals)

Following Champions League scores tonight is more dramatic than ever under UEFA's 36-club single-table format and two-legged knockout ties. On matchday 8 of the League Phase, all 18 games kick off simultaneously at 20:00 UK time—meaning every single goal shifts clubs between automatic Round of 16 qualification (Top 8), the seeded Play-Offs (9th–24th), and elimination (25th–36th).

1. No More Away Goals Rule in Knockout Ties

Remember that UEFA permanently abolished the away goals rule across the Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League. If a two-legged tie is level on aggregate after 180 minutes (for example, 2-1 in the first leg and 0-1 in the return leg), the match goes directly to 30 minutes of extra time and a penalty shootout, regardless of who scored more away goals.
